I really like the shot. I feel the defeated posture of the man told all the story anyone might need.

Taken about 3:00 am off of Downtown Vegas.

Critique and Comment Welcome.

Thank you, it is a slight misquote of a poem by a relatively unknown poet named Robert Browning Hamilton (So obscure, he doesn't even have a Wikipedia article. He submitted it for publication in The Century Magazine. It was printed in February, 1913. (external link)
Correctly Rendered it is:

Along the Road – Robert Browning Hamilton

I walked a mile with Pleasure;
She chattered all the way,

But left me none the wiser
For all she had to say.

I walked a mile with Sorrow
And ne’er a word said she;

But oh, the things I learned from her
When Sorrow walked with me!

If that's your intention, these things would have stronger impact in black and white I reckon

I prefer the color version although the B & W is nice also. I think the color depicts the environment of Las Vegas. The defeated walk home in the dark is coupled well with color. IMHO

I really like the composition and lighting in this shot, it's just too clean and bright for me to really feel it. Same with the BW.

My take. also adjusted the horizon so he is walking slightly downhill.

Good call on the black and white - I prefer it.
The edited version looks too pink ....and crooked.

I very much like both the color and b/w, but prefer the color version for the reminder of 'las vegas.' Very nice.

OK, now that is funny. Literally the LAST thing I did to the shot before posting it was to straighten it from the angle that you show here. I just didn't want the lack of a "straight horizon" to side track viewers in their comments!

Your original shot is definitely for the better (IMO) because of your editing to straighten :)
