Thank you Joe. I'll try to get out C&C for the last two weeks Friday, after I judge the Speed Challenge.

Not a worry Jason I was feeling a bit taxed myself. I have 2 weeks off and I think I am going to be focusing on some new directions. I spend a little too much time online.

I swear that I will have the last 2 weeks worth of critique in before Wednesday. I have not forgotten!

I just spent an hour on critiques for the last 3 weeks, and near completion I fried the reply. I'm gonna do this another day...I'm pissed.

In order of submission:

Joe--The View--I like the complimentary colors and the muted pastels, and the lines and angles. I like it, but there feels like something is missing. What, I do not know...just a feeling.

Hank--Rush Hour Traffic--With the pushed midtones, It feels like an alternate reality...one I do not wish to be. And no, I will not 'keep right' as it leads to a very hot sun.

Allen--Reflective #9--Lovely, soft and leading with a hint of chaos. I like it.

Kevan--Louisiana, Mo--Nicely split in near thirds. I would have liked this more had the roofline been level.

Hank--And Now For...--Locks onto another nightmare of mine; feet. Thanks buddy! Dream-like but off-putting.

Joe--Shed Corner Abstract--The split between black and white, good and evil, rich and poor...that's what I get. I would have like this one more if it were composed on a cloudy day, and perhaps in b&w since it's monochromatic in nature.

Kevan--Nuts--I see a twisted evil face, but it needs more DoF to bring out the scary...

Joe--The Sign--Alien, disturbing and frightening. Well done, high marks.

Hank--Round and Round...--Nice perspective and composition, but that's all I have...

Robbie--segregation--Nice attempt. I get less 'segregation' and more 'binded' from your capture, since my attention is drawn towards the bolted clamp.

Kevan--Tooth--Stark, funky. I am bummed since the most interesting part of the picture for me is not allowed to flow...that being the shadows cast by the tooth. Look at it and how it moves, see what I mean..

Joe--The Barn House--Aside from well composed and framed, not much I can comment on here.

Hank--Down the Rabbit Hole--Garish colors and a groovy zoom-like effect like being thrust into the center of an over-saturated reality. Well done, and stop feeding off of my nightmares...

Robbie--lurking--Well composed and framed, very nicely done. This is when centering a subject works.

Okay, I'm caught up...thanks.

Jason no one is on the hook to provide critique. You shouldn't feel obligation. I appreciate the effort. I typically get everything ready in Notepad++ and then copy directly here. Much easier than trying to navigate these tiny text windows on the forum :)!

Thanks Jason for your comments. My responses:

Louisana: I'll have a go at editing it, I definitely see what you mean. There is the hill and perspective to deal with, but I'll try.

Nuts: nuts, you saw. Actually, I thought it played into the scene, but, well, we all see things different. Solid point though.

Tooth: yeah...I got lazy.

I enjoyed your thoughts, I'm also getting a giggle with my batting scores of 1 or 2 points with my entries. All in good fun. I like going a bit bizarre and take some risks with this particular challenge.

Louisiana: my thoughts, let the hill be a hill and allow it to contrast with the level roofline of the buildings.

Nuts: My thoughts, the dof at f/2.8 is just too thin for that tight of a shot, even for the small G9 sensor. Then again I see you were at 1/20th sec and stopping down to f/8 would have dropped your shutter to about half a second. Honestly, I don't know how I would approach this composition with a P&S.

Take all the risks you want, Kevan! All you need to do is satisfy your photographic needs, not mine or anyone elses.

Always up for critique of the last image I entered. It is coming from a different place than the standard literal. This week featured great images by everyone. I really liked mtimber's portrait and Allen's train is superb. B/W loves chrome. Really nice work folks.
