Does anyone have experienced corrupted images on this card? I bought one today and about 1 of the 50 images I shot was identified as corrupted by my computer. So I reformatted the card (using my rebel xt's format function) and shot another 50, this time all images are fine. I wonder if it has anything to do with the cold weather outside when I shot my first 50? Anyone?

I have had tht problem occasionally. Drives me crazy. I just open the image from the card and save it as a jpeg. It works for me. Only once did I have an image totally corrupted.

You really want to learn the difference between the quick format in the camera versus the complete format in the computer.

I heard you are not suppose to format the cards in the computer. Can you explain?

First of all, find the person that you heard that from and question them.

As long as your CF card is working perfectly, then it is OK to do a quick format in the camera. If your CF card starts to give you any capacity problem or performance problem or corrupted image files, then you need to do a complete format in the computer (via card reader). Once you do the complete format and assuming you get the right capacity results, then you return it to the camera and do the quick format there.

Thank you, Bob. I am having problems with a couple of cards and will try this. I took some images at a wedding last weekend and a few looked as if they were taken at 1600 ISO - and the exif was only 400 (cloudy day). The rest were just fine. And copying the images to my pc was a pain since I had several errors associated with images. I am hoping this will help. Thanks for the advice. :D

Bob, I did as you suggested and it worked quite well. I actually found images on the card that should not have still been there. The formatting in the PC was a really good idea. Now for the test - filling the card with images and seeing if it works with out corruption.
