Shot these through the small openings of the Benedict Music Tent:

Augustin Hadelich and Julia Fischer: Hadelich, the 2006 International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, suffered a severe burn to his upper body, including his face, during a fire on his farm house when he was 15-years old.

I assume you weren't able to move around?

Backgrounds are really distracting, as are the way people / bits of instrument are lined up. Not much you can do. In a case like this, I'd put down the camera and enjoy the show.

Thanks! Julia Fischer is one of my 12-old violinist son's favorite virtuosi, so this event was quite special for him as he had never seen her perform live. He grew up playing Bach Double, so it was also very nice to hear Fischer and Hadelich perform the piece so flawlessly. The event was magical, too, because it took place at the Benedict Music Tent with so much rich history going back decades. The BMT is considered the "Mecca" for musicians all over the globe. Then, of course, we had to follow the long-standing tradition of gathering outside the tent during the concert and enjoying wine and cheese, champaign and strawberries, and other goodies under the perfect weather... :D

When you do get a chance I'd highly recommend it. It's been my family's annual ritual... :D

Dear SYS,

I am really sorry to dredge up an old post like this! I work with Augustin Hadelich, who has an upcoming tour with Julia Fischer coming up in 2019 (same repertoire- Bach and Schnittke!). They realized they don't have any photographs together from this concert and Google Search uncovered this thread. Although I can't see the mentioned pictures, I was wondering if there are any of them together, and if you might be willing to share them again. We would be happy to compensate you for their use.

Thank you!
Suxiao

PM me your email and I'll send you the photos via Dropbox. Because I shot them through a little opening in the tent from outside with a long zoom, I have to warn you that the photo quality isn't all that great but still might be useful for your purpose. No compensation necessary.

Wow! I just got an email for your reply just now. So sorry I didn’t see it. Unfortunately, I can’t PM because I need to post at least 20x in order to activate that function.

That would be so fabulous! You can email the link directly to Augustin at augustin@augustin-hadelich.de

May we have a photo credit for you?

Thank you so much!!
