Bokor Hill Station is a former French retreat located 30km up a hill in a national park in Cambodia. The French used to flee to Bokor Hill to escape the crippling heat of the country's capital (Phnom Penh). It was abandoned by the French and later by the Khmer Rouge. There's not much left in the town, just an abandoned hotel/casino, church, watchtower, and some other smaller buildings. To get there, you must trek through the jungle guided by a ranger brandishing a rifle.
