So I've found so much conflicted information about the EYE-Fi SD cards and CF adapters in the Canon 5D. There is an abundance of information on the topic about the setup for a 5Dmk2, but not for the 5Dc.

Does anyone here have a 5Dc and have tested the Eye-Fi cards?

In case someone is still interested, this setup works

Canon 5D Classic
This specific CF adapter (http://www.amazon.com …nal-Digital/dp/B001DKO7R8 (external link))
Eye-Fi Pro X2 8GB with firmware version 5.0018
Apple iPad 3 with iOS 6.0.1
Eye-Fi app version 2.2.1

The general issue that I believe that you have to match up:

  • Non-UDMA camera + non0-UDMA adapter + non-UDMA Eye-Fi card
  • UDMA camera + UDMA adapter + UDMA Eye-Fi card

You need to give me OK to edit your image and repost! Keep POTN alive and well with member support https://photography-on-the.net/forum/donate.php

Reviving an old post, as I'm having the same issue. Has anyone come up w/ a reliable combination (5DC/eye-fi/SD-CF adapter) that works? If so, would love to know exact models, etc.

Thanks!

an issue you might run into is that CF adapters change (even ones that look the same, get revised over time), i have a combination Eye-Fi Connect X2 and a CF adapter that's just labeled "SDHC/SD Extreme CF Adapter" that i bought on ebay, this combination does work with my 5Dc fine.

but again that adapter is unlabeled/unbranded so there is no guarantee that if you buy one that 'looks' the same will be the same.
FWIW mine looks like this, http://www.ebay.com …pters&hash=item2a158d50ef (external link)

but i also see there is a new version with a blue circle instead of a red circle too.

The ones I see on eBay UK are variously labelled as 3rd Generation or 4th generation either on the device or on the packaging.

It looks to me like people are having real problems with the Transcends...
