So I woke up out of bed this morning, browsed Craigslist and came up on an EOS 650, two lenses, 300ez flash, Rebel Ti and two compact 35mm's for sale for 50 bucks. Upon closer inspection one of those lenses was a Mk.I metal mount EF 50mm, the other is a 50mm f1.4 FD S.S.C with Breech Lock.

Score.

Rolled out of bed, called the lady and was at her house in an hour.

The 300ez works. 650 will need some love and some cleaning, but when it's done I'll throw it up on here. The 50 1.4 has some fungus in the elements nothing really bad though, but I can't figure out how to get the aperture to open and close. The two compacts presumably are toast unless my batteries are. The Mk.I 50 is flawless and so is the Ti. I'll probably keep one of the compacts if I can get it working, the 50mm mk1 and maybe the Ti, the rest will be on here soon.

You need to mount the fd lens to operate the aperture

Sweet, the 50 f/1.8 alone cost more than that!

I click on the photo section since the Orlando one isn't full of spam but I just put in Canon in the search when in doubt.

Great little lens I love this thing. much better build than the Mk.II but it appears to be optically equal as I have heard. Tomorrow I am going to the camera shop to compare it to a new Mk. II (as well as possibly get a job)

The compacts work, I'll keep the Nikon and after a thorough cleaning put the Olympus on here.
