This was a for fun/me session. I wanted to shoot a little red head so I put it out on my FB page and had a bunch of people interested. I LOOVE red heads. :) Anyways, big sucker for serious faces so this was my first edit from the batch.

I love the red hair against the green background, but kind of dig it in b&w too...what do you think? Any other CC is welcome as well. Mom did bring her to me wearing a light dusting of makeup...a tiny bit of eye liner and a bit of glitter/sparkles. I could have done without that but when they show up that way I guess there isn't much you can do. lol

Adding another (I swear I have smiling ones too...lol)

Here's the before/after of that shot. White balance corrected, a bit of patch work, removed blue/cyan from my whites, darkened the background, and *really* popped her hair color. I also did a touch of liquify to minimize the 'slouchy' look. Kids are the worst about this! Anyways, I pushed the shoulder camera left DOWN a bit and tucked in the poochy shirt.

See, I swear I wasn't torturing her! This is the 'Justin Bieber & I'm getting pizza for dinner smile.' lol

Stunning, Lisa. I'd have to go with color on this. She looks too young to wear makeup, though.

Thank you! :) And I agree...too young. Sometimes they show up how they show up though. She's only 9. I won't even let my almost 13yr old daughter wear makeup but to each their own I guess. I'm just glad it was light and not caked on. I shot a pageant girl last year (FOUR years old) caked in foundation and mascara. Really, really sad.

As a father of a red head, I have to vote for the color. The green always makes the red hair stand out

Nice set and another vote for the color even though your B&W conversions are always top notch. Quick off topic question but do you find yourself using the 85L over the 70-200? I remmeber the one family session where you used the 70-200 and they came out fantastic but don't really think I've seen that many from you recently with it.
