Questions about radio controlled manual flash

I'm using a Mini TT1 and Flex TT5 with a 7d and 580EX. So far E-TTL has worked well. For the times when I want to use manual, I'd like to be able to control the power settings from my camera. Looks like if I want to do this I'd need the AC3.

Yep, that or a 580exII as master. The AC3 is the best thing about the PW system though (and much cheaper than a 580exII). The only thing it lacks is the AF focus assist light of the 580.
