Did anyone happen to go to this event this past weekend in Pittsburgh? Saw lots of cameras so hopefully others will share their pictures as well.

This was a new *Photography* expierence for me. I have taken pictures of cars when they are parked but not so much in the panning department! This was my first time and I must give credit to those who have mastered this technique as it is rather tough!

So here are a few shots from the weekend...hope you enjoy them!

The rest can be viewed here! http://consciouseye.smugmug.com …Dc8XHf#1399889793_MdL6pBW (external link)

A more than impressive turn out for a first time panning experience! Great work.

Thanks to both of you for your comments! Let's just say I wasted an entire day of shooting by trying different settings!

-- RadAL -- Can you PM me with an example of a 3 quarter view...I'm sure I have some but not so sure I follow you!

What body were you using for the panning shots Mike?

Nice shots, especially for the first time panning. I was there on Saturday. Looking at pic #4, I might have been shooting next to you. I have a shot of that 356 in almost the same light and close to the same angle.

That was a nice little corner..... It's a shame that race was cut short. I am pretty sure that car was the one that ran into the hay bales. Such a pretty car!

Looking forward to seeing your pictures!
