Thank you all so much for entering this week! I poured over the entries every day and agonized over the little details.
For those of you who are newer, please note that part of the posting rules is that you need to change the title line to the title of your photo to qualify :)
nrowensby: Grace Face I really love this shot but I think it could really benefit with a little more PP; bring out the light in her eyes and smooth out the skin tones a teensy.
aponi06 Kaelyn: Face For me, the shadows are a bit distracting and I think a little more DOF would sharpen it up a bit.
airfrousmc No Problem Man: So much character in this face, the expression is just wonderful. It made me smile every time I looked at it.
JasonC: Family A lovely lady for sure. Is this your wife? A nice, simple but eye pleasing photo; the colors are just perfect.
GarryKirsch Dad Says It is Raining...: I am a sucker for babies and this little guy is beyond adorable. What's not to like about that priceless expression?
hondel Roger in the Morning: Perfectly clear and no glare on the glasses... good for you!! I can't find anything wrong with this shot.
jetcode The Movie Star: I am assuming this was a spontaneous moment :) I wish her sunglasses were off so I could see her eyes (and they are a tad OOF) but the lips are spot on.
paintmblak Miss Madeline: I think this photo could be improved with a little more focus and a a little less shadow. This baby looks simply worn out to me. While I am not a fan of selective coloring, I do like the subtleness in which you colored her eye.
T3HeavyShop Untitled: LOL, she is on a fun ride (at an amusement park?) and doesn't look like she is having a bit of fun. "Whateva" might have been a good title :)
MDKmedia Don't forget to change the title line next time. Welcome. Your pop looks a bit startled or was he intently watching something? I like the B&W conversion.
DanaFairy: Cute shot of the swimmer's scrunched up face! Love the mouth and nose wrinkles and you did a great job keeping some catchlights in her eyes. Next competition you need to also change the title line.... And welcome to POTN.
rawshorty: That is an adorable shot but I would love it if the man's arm were 2 inches lower and hadn't cut off the baby's face. But... you did a great job getting the eyes to be the centerpiece and the joy is undeniable. Also, you need to change the title line to fit your photo in the next competition :)
JohnB Sunshine Contemplation: A nice silouhette and again, very creative. I think I would have preferred the sunflare up higher so it didn't mask off the outline of her face but that may just be me.
MartyL Sometimes a Lollipop...: For me, there is a little too much chadow on the face. Better lighting would bring out the sparkle in his eyes and the smile that shows his appreciation of the treat.
mpix345 Pensive: you also forgot to change the title line but your adorable little girl almost makes up for it. I love this shot because I always wonder what goes on in those little minds and that is the first thing I thought of when I saw this. Nice job with the fill light!

And the winners:
3rd: Garry Kirsch
2nd: hondel
Drum rolllllll
1st: airfrogusmc!

Thanks judging and for the comments Maureen.

Great job everyone.

I got to the ride (county fair btw) just as it ended. Would have loved to have seen what she looked like during it.

Congrats Allen, hondel and Garry! Nice photos from everyone. Thanks for the comp, Mo. Not my wife, just an in-in-law.

Congrats airfrousmc... Thanks for the comments and edit suggestions! I should've spent more time in post to start off with, the shot posted was pretty much OOC.
