A yellow crowned night heron has taken up residence in our neighborhood and can be found taking a stroll up and down the street almost every day.

Would love to have a YCNH as a neighbor.

Thanks, Joe, Lil, and Mike. He was in our front yard late this afternoon waiting for me to turn on the sprinkler system. I tried to explain that because of water rationing he would have to wait until 6 PM. He didn't seem to be too interested in my flimsy excuse and walked off in a huff muttering something uncomplimentary about primates.

Some professional bird models seem to be such prima donnas.
