A Question About Lenses Color

Hi All

Why Canon had choose the color white for the Super Telephoto lenses?
and some of the Telephoto Zoom and Telephoto lenses?

other brand like Nikon , Olympus and Sigma
the color of the lenses all black !!!!!

Put a large black lens out in the sun for awhile, now do the same with a white one. The black one will be much hotter. Its also a status thing. Everyone knows you've got Canon glass.

Reflects light/heat or some shpiel like that

Some Nikon lensese are/have been available in white also, btw. And some Sony lenses are too. Despite the majority of white lenses being Canon, not all of them are.

As far as I can remember, the fluorite elements in the more expensive Canon lenses react more to heat more than standard glass (expansion I suppose). As a result the off-white paint helps to reduce the amount of heat transferred into the lens.
I think its also the bigger lenses that have white paint - I guess becuase there is more surface area?

and that why the Arab people in the middle east dressing white color ( the sun heat)
