New on on me and my apologies if it has been discussed, a search turned up nothing.

When I try to save files on CS4 I just started getting the following error message;

"Could not save because you do not have the necessary access privileges"

new one on me anyone have any idea how to rectify this?

Thanks

Fern

Where are you saving it? To your hard drive, or an external drive ... ?

opening from file on desktop and trying to save after edit on same file or desktop both give me same error.

I have already checked all file permissions all say read/write?

Just to be specific: when I Google the error quote it refers to the Mac OS, so can we assume you're on a Mac?

I was having a similar problem on a Windows machine. The culprit was my Kapersky antivirus. On the outside chance, look into your AV progam and see if you need to put the output directory on ignore (or whatever the MAC equivelent is.)
