I was out playing with my new 300mm f4 this afternoon and caught this hunting over my neighborhood. I am hoping someone more knowledgeable than myself can identify what kind of bird this is. I see them all the time. I live in the SF bay area if that helps, thanks.

gday. not sure what it is, but I like the 2nd photo. the "glow" gives an almost pheonix look.
