As some probably already know, the new social network Google + has been the buzz all over the Internet, and among the photography community.
There are quite a few POTN members who have already joined.
You can find a lengthy discussion on Google + in the "Business of Photography" forums.

One of the biggest attractions are Circles. A great way to organize all your friends and interests together..

Of course I created a circle for POTN and there has been a lot of great information shared already.
I went another step and created a circle for Photoshop users. Of course I can add you to multiple circles, but this helps keep the information separated and more organized so you're not sorting through hundred of posts to find one.

There are a lot of Photoshop users here who can and have learned from each other. Whether new to it or you have years of experience, if you're on Google + create your own PS circle and start adding people from here that you know have an interest in PS and that you wouldn't mind being in your circles of friends. This should make for a great and informative PS experience beyond what we might find here or other forums.

If you're already on Google + and you are a PS user I would like to add you to my PS Circle so we can share ideas. However I would also like to know who I am adding and where I might know you from. If it's from here let me know that as well as your screen name here at POTN and I will be more than happy to include you.
Thank You!

Is there a way to link your flickr feed to google+? I don't want to upload the pics in too many places...

Hi. Would be easier if the circle was searchable, no? Or maybe I just can't find it. Anyhoo. gaijinpunch at gmail dot comm if you can.

Pretty sure you can link individual pictures just like you can here. I haven't tried it yet though.
On Edit: Yep you can just tried it with a picture that I have hosted on Photobucket. Just use a direct link rather than a IMG tagged link. It will post a image thumbnail that people can click to view full size.

Invite sent.

Circles are your own creation for you to organize your friend and feeds the way you want. You can name them whatever you want or how you want.
However, it helps if your friend create similar circles and place you in theirs also.
For example, My Photoshop Circle: It helps me organize and keep track of all my friends with an interest in Photoshop. Additionally, When I post a comment or a link that has something to do with PS I can select the circles I want to share it with. And all my friends who are in that circle will be able to see it but not everyone else. That way I'm not just sharing every little comment with everyone no matter what their interests are. It makes it easier on everyone.

There is already a huge following of POTN members and we each, I hope, have a Circle created just for POTN. I did.

I noted. I'm still cutting my teeth on G+... wrapping my head around it. Thanks for the invite. Hope I can contribute.

My guess is it will take a while to catch up. I remember a simpler time when people didn't have Facebook linked directly to their brain.

So what does Google+ give you that you can't get from POTN?

It's a social network. I am sure you have more interests in life other than photography, and I am sure you have other friends beside people here.
