Just a reminder to those who have uploaded their photos to G+ about the printing options and G+ and it's partners making money off of your stuff. G+ enables downloading and printing "on" by default for your friends only. G+ doesn't specify exactly what "friends" are, are they just in your "friends circle" or are they people in all your circles!

So anyhow, to whom concerned, take a good look through all your settings when creating your profiles and make the appropriate selections. The photo printing and download settings can be found by clicking on the "photo" menu located in the black header across the top of your G+ page. Go to the right where the little gear icon is, click it and proceed to "photo settings" option. In the "Privacy and Permissions" tab is where you'll find the "Allow any visitor to:" section with tick boxes for "order prints" and "download".

The next section down you find the "Creative Commons" license section which should also be checked with your own discretion. At least it is set to "Do not allow reuse" by default IIRR.

Is there a way to link your flickr feed to google+? I don't want to upload the pics in too many places...

If you click on the little chain to add a URL then paste in a flickr photo URL it seems to recognise it and puts the photo inline in your stream.

The only reason to upload them would be if you wanted to tag people.

I put you in both PS and POTN..

As far as I am concerned lightroom discussions are welcome in a PS circle. It is after-all Photoshop Lightroom..

I would probably suggest otherwise. It's much like the discussions here on the POTN Forum forum where people ask for subforums. Too much stuff piled in one place tends to make it unorganized and even unusable. But it's your concept, so...

Invent sent.

There is all kinds of help floating around already that will make a lot of things easier for you. You can start with the Google + Help files which have helped me a lot.
And then there are bloggers who have published some great pieces of work that are a great help also.

This one is great for the photographer.

Yes. I have not had the time to begin reading this, but I would emphasize to other photogs this looks like it is worth the effort. Scanning thru it, it looks like Colby Brown has written a rather comprehensive and helpful tutorial. (Thanks for the link).

You can link accounts such as Flickr to your Google Account.
Open your Google + Settings and then scroll down to Connected accounts. Select Connect Accounts and choose accounts you want connected.

When I did that for Buzz it ignored the fact that I asked it to only upload photos with a certain flickr tag. It uploaded everything I put on flickr as a buzz post.

Hopefully they have addressed that issue, but tread carefully to begin with.

So I joined up yesterday evening, but haven't really had the time to play with it yet!

On a related note, I found out that Google Chrome has some integration for Google members -- I have a few things I tap in to (Maps, Earth and a photo sharing site Panoramio).

Speaking of Panoramio -- it has an interesting feature -- if you submit a photo of a place (as opposed to say a person who happens to be in a place) then it gets reviewed, and if the reviewers think that it is a "worthy" representation of the place they will put it into Google Earth (as opposed to the Google Maps entry that you can make any time).

So, when I recently opened my Panoramio account I uploaded 10 images that I thought were nice representations of places in this region, and then life went on, until today when I was playing with all this Google stuff. I opened Panoramio in Chrome and noticed first some strange icons below my photos, and also that my photo views had gone up noticeably. When I "moused" the little icons they "said" that the photos, all 10, had been selected for Google Earth! It must be a process, and I see that in Earth they have not all showed up yet, but it's a pretty cool thing!

I imagine everything Google will be integrated somehow with Chrome. Keep your web Workflow centralized so to speak. Too bad chrome is among those Browsers that don't have color management. I use Firefox myself, but I also like using Opera, but Opera like Chrome isn't color managed.
