I mostly shoot natural light, and have been want to start experimenting with some multiple off camera light setups that are compact and easily packable. This has got me thinking light stands with bare shoe flashes with radio triggers, and possibly an umbrella or two.
I have 1 430ex II, and I'd like to get at least 2-3 more shoe mount flashes that have good power, and recycle relatively quickly (not as fast as the 430ex II, but faster than my 1980's Vivitar). I'd like to stick with Canon flashes, but that's not always an option for the budget minded photographer. What are some other flashes that are powerful enough to be used like this, and being able to be controlled by the 7d's built in flash control would be a definite plus, as this may be a better idea than the radio triggers, or at least a back up if the radio triggers go bad on me.
The most cost effective option gets my vote.
