Hey folks,
Is i t possible to hack the Canon EOS 1000d?

I read here in the forum and on other sites that there are hack for hacking Canon EOS cameras, but havn't realy found something for the 1000d. There are a lot of links, but mostly just discussions.

Would be great to update the iso levels and other functions if possible.

Can anyone help me on that issue?

Winam

I would love one for my 5dc, I just hacked my 400d using CHDK and I'm very impressed. It feels like a whole new camera now.

I found CHDK useful in 'crippled' P&S models like my early A530 and A700. I suspect there's a good reason nobody's bothered to hack either my G10 or 5Dc; I can't think of any significant lack in the existing firmware. Out of interest, what is it you feel you're 'missing'?

Owning a 1000d, spot metering and another ISO level.

Yup. But I was referring to j-dogg's wish for a 5Dc hack. The 5D already has spot metering and already goes to ISO3200 in software. If I want more, I can go into Manual and then push in PP (rarely, for obvious reasons). AEB +/- 6 stops? Hmmm.

an upgrade from the 1000d to the 1100d would be great as well.

Damn I clicked hoping there was a hack! I would love another ISO level, despite the horrible noise it would produce. Thank god for Lightroom 3!
