Was out shooting at Evergreen Speedway for drifted.com during Formula Drift round 5, here's a few of my favorites from the intense sideways driven day. This is the first batch, ill bring on some more if there is enough interest.

There is XDC coming to Pacificgp in a week or so, Grassroots events and ProAm finishing up at Evergreen Speedway, and open drift events at both till October or so.

#2 looks really good. You must have had a pretty good spot to get that angle.

I love the drifting pics. But they always seem dark and little too much processing. But great pics none the less!

I had my camera set on Tv mode, anywhere from 1/80th - 1/320th. Servo mode for focusing, and using a custom white balance

mind if i ask what shutter speed you were using. I recently went to a show in TN and it was so bright that I couldn't get the shutter speed slow enough to show the motion of the wheels. I used a polorized diffuser but it didnt show much of a difference. Any suggestions?

Nikon D90 with kit 18-105vr lens, Nikon 50mm 1.8, Sigma 70-300, an AB1600 with umbrella, and a SB-700

Shutter speed varies per shot depending on what I was going for but image #6 was shot at 1/100th. Setting your camera on shutter priotiy should be enough, and keep your ISO low, aperature was only up to f7.1 for #6 leaving plenty of room for brighter situations, and it very bright that day.
