Okay, guessing game time:

First pic and guess, there are bottles of soda or something in the overhead bin of the crane cab, and one of those saved you somehow (diabetic attack prevention?)

Second guess, you're a high crane operator and the job motivates you to stay awake at night on the job which keeps you alive, because falling asleep on that job could be terminal.

Third guess, you're a space jumper and got stuck or hung up on the side of a building and that crane is what saved you and lifted you to safety.

Good set. That first one I like the best just because its very unique (not a view often seen). All are good though!

The reason (as I believe) is the picture of the baby. I'm not the crane operator, I just happened to stumble upon it. I thought the photo told a really great story. Sort of humanized the situation for me.

These are taken from four different locations.

That is what stood out to me at first glance in the shot, but then I got vertigo and forgot your title to the thread hahaha....
