Hello, I have a new lexar 16gig card that is having problems formatting. I have read through the scores of posts with the exact same issue but mine is only showing up having 29.5 meg capacity. I have tried formatting in the computer and I have no bent pins as other cards work fine. Any ideas?

So what is wrong with a 16GB card showing up with 29.5GB capacity? ;)

Formatting where? in a PC or in the camera body? Can you read and write to the card via a UDMA reader?

I bought them from B&H when they had the 2 pack special. I have a email into Lexar so hopefully they will make it right.

When you are looking at the card in the computer, does it have 2 files or just one?

When I bring it up there aren't any files. It's just blank and shows 29.5 megs of space. No partitions or anything.

Did you format it in the camera yet?

Try formatting it in the camera. If you had files and trashed them they are still on the card. You said you bought a 2 pack. Do both cards do the same thing?
