Another photographer and I are going to be taking couple and single portraits at a 25th HS reunion party. A third photographer will be taking candids. The most likely couples pose will be one sitting one standing, waist up. There will be about 250 guests and two portrait stations. For mine I’m thinking two studio strobes 1:1 with 46”ish silver umbrellas either side of the camera to avoid one person shadowing another, plus a background light. Maybe a speedlight as a hair light.
To me the lighting setup doesn’t seem very interesting but I don’t want to have to do any wrinkle or shadow retouching – just crop and batch exposure if needed. I have a 28” Westcott Apollo softbox that will fit a small studio strobe but that doesn’t seem to belong. Anyone have advice?
