430EX repair

Just had to brake hard to miss hitting someone and my camera and flash went flying off the seat. Flash broke right where it slides into the hotshoe. Camera is unaffected and flash actually will fire if held in place. Is the part of the flash that attaches to the camera expensive? Am I in for a world of pain or is it easy nd cheap to replace?

Its a reasonable repair, certainly worth doing. In fact you can order the parts from canon and do it yourself.
