I've seen some nice results with this new product or new to me at least. Anyone on here been using them. Would love some feedback because I'm thinking about getting one.

I know what you were watching earlier..or at least I'm guessing you were watching the live "Lighten up and shoot" workshop.

I watched a bit, I was told it was on street photography by the person who linked me to it, but I still learned.

It is. They did some recorded stuff on the street. They just can't do a live workshop on the street with the limits of streaming on a location among other issues. Day 3 tomorrow.

Hm, well I was told I didn't miss anything but setup yesterday, and all I saw was studio lighting today, I'll check in tomorrow.

Yeah, I was just curious. I think I'm going to stick with my umbrellas and softlighters. I do want a beauty dish or softbox though.

Whilst I agree with you, their is a time and a place for everything.

Does anybody need a saber strip? No.

Can I think of times when it would be useful and NO OTHER MODIFIER can do a smilar job? Yes.

Maybe you can show some examples where only saber strip will work.:D

I like mine, though I haven't been using it lately. Heck, I haven't even been really shooting lately. I need to get off my a$$! But yeah, the saberstrip. No, you don't NEED one. It's just a cool toy. It's somewhere between a soft and hard light source. I say, if you find yourself using pretty much only hotshoe flashes, and want a quick and easy psuedo strip light then go for it. If you're already into some larger strobes, then maybe the cheetahstand strip box would be a wiser and more versatile choice. Just make absolute sure that your flashes are a compatible fit. I saw the name lumopro on their list and didn't even think about the lp120. All's I got are a nikon sb-25, a lp-160, and a 430 exII. Only my 430 fits.
