Focus was on the pile of tires center frame. Also, no window behind the camera to illuminate the pillar and there was lens flare from the battery tester.

Much better on the pillar, thanks. I have Elements but I think there's a workaround for layer masks using a linked adjustment layer. I've got a tutorial somewhere in my Bookmarks. I'll have to look it up.
