Hi all. I've recently returned from an east coast trip which included a week on Emerald Isle as well as day trips to surrounding locals such as Beaufort, Atlantic Beach and others. We also spent the following week driving up the coast with stops at Williamsburg, Jamestown, Charlottesville VA and Washington DC. Believe me when I tell you there are too many shots to post, but here's the first post of the trip which I've held to just the Emerald Isle (non HDR) shots. The HDR's are posted here, if you're interested. Hope you like them.

1. A presunrise shot of the Bogue Pier, with light from atop the pier spilling onto the water.

2. Sunrise on Bogue Bay from a local marina.

3. A lightning storm passed right overhead which was an amazing event. Unfotunately, I wasn't able to capture any of it until it got a couple mile away.

4. Another sunrise on Bogue Bay, this time from the public boat launch just east of the center of town.

5. A presunrise shot from just west of the island. I'd hoped for a sunrise shot through the Emerald Isle bridge which is just out of the scene to the left, but the angles were a bit off.
