These were some quick shots I took while attending a friend's wedding. I have been messing around with different kins of PP just to learn. Let me know what you think. Keep in mind that I was trying to be non intrusive since it wasn't a really close friend.

I think 1 and 3 are over processed. It distracts from the subjects. What process did you use on them?

there are strange spots on the side of his head in the first, with a little less messing around that would be a cute shot.

Let me un-play with them a bit. I will go back to the originals and start over.

On number one, I did an overlay with a slight high-pass filter at maybe (4%) and then converted to b&w. Number 3 was definitely played with a bit more...

I will repost after I finish.

Let me know if this PP works better. I just gave them a warmer tone to match a couple of others that I did yesterday. If there are any pointers regarding books, websites or any other knowledge of using CS5 I would appreciate it. The learning curve is soooo steep and I don't know where to begin.

Also, I realize that my composition isn't great in this mini-set. I was just taking a couple of snapshots and seeing if I could get good exposure etc. while shooting manual. I was hoping to get a few usable ones to edit and give to him after he gets back from his honeymoon. Thanks again.

The first set is WAY oversharpened, the second is oversharpened, but better PP.

Thanks for the feedback so far. I guess I am learning that PP is better in moderation until you know what you are doing.

I really get annoyed by other people's pictures that are too sharp, yet I have been oversharpening mine. I will try it again, less sharpening though..

The only time sunglasses EVER looks decent is when everyone is wearing them (i.e. bride & groom, or full bridal party).
