I took some shots of our new 6 day old daughter, unfortunately while she was awake, but I tried the best i could. These guys move around ALOT!

The angles and positioning are awkward to me. I would wait till she is asleep and do more tummy shots. You have to make everything as cozy and comfy as possible. Full belly, heater, blankets, binky, white noise, and of course alot of patience on your part. :)

She is beautiful! I find my eyes keep getting drawn to her umbilical hernia. If you find it is distracting visually, you could pose her on her tummy. If you don't find it visually distracting, that's ok too, it is a part of her and it's all good. newborns with their eyes open are very difficult as they have a hard time focussing their eyes and they are squirmiest when they are awake. Keep shooting, you have an exceptionally pretty baby girl there!
