I have these (external link)for supporting a background but I would also like them to double as a light stand. I am using this (external link)for an umbrella bracket.

The stud on top of a standard light stand is 5/8", however on top of these I think it is 3/4". I can only get a tiny part of the umbrella bracket into the top stud. Is there something I can get to step down the 3/4" stud down to 5/8? I'd like to use what I already have rather than buying a new light stand.
