First shots I've taken in about six months, and to my surprise I'm quite pleased with them. :) Scale is 1.4:1. Butterflies certainly don't seem quite so pretty this close up!

What an amazing thing photography is. We can make cockraoches look good and butterflies look scary.

Sadly I have no clue of the IDs of these butterflies Linda; I took the shots in a butterfly house containing many different species. If anyone does have any idea I'd love to know.

Alphamalex: the lens is Sigma 150mm, and for lighting I used the Canon Speedlite 430EX II on a Wimberley bracket with a Lumiquest softbox. ;)
