Thanks Pippan. It would be cold. That's come down off the highlands and hasn't really travelled far.
In summer (when it was taken) it would be warmer, but now Brrr! Far from your balmy temps :-)
It's a lovely river until there, then a mess!

This valley, not far from the scene above, is filled with Cycas calcicola. Despite its abundance here it is a very rare plant with a quite limited distribution. This area was burnt black on 10 September and this is its regrowth. Cycads are ancient plants, way more common when dinosaurs roamed the earth. As one of my tourists today remarked, walking through here was like being on another planet.

Speaking of cold water...this steam is cold year round, although this particular morning warmer than the air.
