I took this at 5:00 a.m. on June 8 with a 80-400 Tokina ATX. Over the next two hours the light and clouds played on Denali (Mt. McKinley); it was magic that morning.

Spectacular landscapes all of them.............

At a lookout up the road from us........overlooking Nanaimo and towards Vancouver.its always hazy Vancouver way

I had to look a few times, the resemblance between this city and Kingston (capital of Jamaica) is amazing, right down to the mountains..

Thank you. It is an HDR of sort. It is certainly more than one layer. the moon was a separate shot. other than that its not a true HDR, since a single raw file was used, just with two different adjustments and layering.

Oh, I guess I'll show off my first (and atm only) attempt at some HDR. Turned out really nice:

Byte size: ZERO | Content warning: NOT AN IMAGE

I merged 2 shots to accomplish this. Taken with my 400D with Sigma 17-70 @ 19mm with F/5 1/60s for the bottom part and F/5.6 1/125s for the top. Manually merged in PSP.

Something wide, something long, something fishy, something strong, something for details, something to put it on.
