I have the 60D and I've read varying opinions regarding the best SD card to use with it. Currently, I'm using the Centon SDHC 32g class 10 thinking the class 10 rating is sufficient enough. Apparently, I'm wrong. I have taken some shots which cannot be displayed on the view finder and when viewing the card on the computer, there are colored streaks on some and I won't even get into the video part.

Along with my love of photography in my leisure activities, I will also be using this camera for surveillance work. Therefore, it is imperative I have a card which can record video and take pictures without any problems. Right now, I am considering the San Disk Extreme Pro 300x UHS-I, which I just read as a top pick from another topic within this category. From reading other reviews, San Disk Extreme Pro was also a top pick and a flawless card. Therefore, can someone shed some light to this card and or another which will work flawlessly for this specific camera?

Thank you

You need to consider manufacturer reliability as well as "class rating". IMO, SanDisk is honest. Other brands, maybe less so. I haven't bought non-SanDisk since 2003 or so, IIRC. And I've bought a lot of GB of cards.

As Jon points out, Sandisk will likely be in the top of the heap with Lexar and maybe 1 or two others.

+2 for Sandisk, just read up about the fake cards if you plan on buying off Ebay. I do have a Transcend 16GB class 10 which I decided to try and so far has been good. But we use a point and shoot for work and we have shot and downloaded 50,000+ photos on the same Sandisk card w/o any issue.

Kingston Micro SDHC memory cards, or any other SDHC memory card for that matter.
When I had my T1I I bought a Duracell 8gig SD class 6 card, thinking that this would work well for my camera and for videos, a few weeks later it got corrupted. Luckily I had a few Micro SD cards from my Blackberries and used those. Never had a single issue with them what so ever! They held up for video (I only used the 640 and 720p video modes), but the downside would be using it for burst mode and transferring images to computer. But they never corrupted on me, they were class 4's, they are cheap in terms of cost, and they are less likely to get damaged since they are housed inside the SD adapters.
