I shot the boys tournament a few weeks ago and the girls u-9 team, I'll post them tomorrow. Man it was hot weekend. I give all the kids that played the weekend of July 23rd a lot of credit. It was over 100 degrees with heat indexes of 115+. Great competition was displayed and the kids never complained about the heat. They all just played!

Wanted to know what you all think of them. Shot with the 1dc, Sigma 100-300mm f4, cropped for web. iso was 400 or so and SS varied due to lighting. Off we go.....

Nice work, clear sharp images and nice colour and shot from down low.

Background a little distracting in some. You could try positioning where you have a clean background but I know that's not always possible with parents & cars around the sidelines. I shoot U12 and U8s and sometimes shoot from the behind the goal line up the pitch for that reason but that limits me to the forwards and midfield players for the U12 pitch size.

Also try capturing a bit more of the contest - 1 one 1 tussle for the ball with opposition players.

as said elsewhere the second one has a nasty background plus a weird look/pose on him, caught between, neither carrying out action of any interest nor still and posed, just an awkward frame with nothing much happening; if the action was amazing then BG you could live with as you have to at times at many venues

i like the first the best, very nice
other nice too
last one has a little ugly background with port-a-johns but what can you do, it's ok

Points taken. Thank you for the feedback and I will work on correcting some of the issues.

It was over 100 degrees that weekend. Heat index was at 115-120. They played 2 games a day and never complained.
