Supposedly they're coming out with this in the near future.

That would be mindblowing, considering how good their other lenses are for video use.

I'd actually prefer a FF Sigma 24mm F1.4 similar in IQ to their 50 and 85. I do agree the Rokinon lenses are very nice for the money though.

Another post by them says they'll start shipping in October/November!

Man, I like this company. Unless I move to FF, I'll have no use for a 24mm, but I'm really curious on what the final cost will come out to be.

I'm with you on that. Heck, I'd even settle for 1.8 if it had the new and HSM.

They are good lenses regardless of cost.

The 24 1.4 is exciting.

I'll be interested in two things. Corner sharpness and vignetting at f/1.4.

If those are somehow better than the Canon 24L, I'm interested.

If it's like their 35mm compared to the 35L, it will have better corner sharpness and vignetting, but the middle of the glass will be just slightly softer wide open.

Looking forward the CA control.
Hopefully the performance can be compared with 24L

Can't wait for it. The 35 1.4 and 85 1.4 are amazing lenses for such a cheap price.

Yeah, it's pretty exciting. I got the 35mm a few days ago, and have been really impressed. I was worried about MF, but strangely enough, now I actually enjoy it...

I should be interested, too. The optic conception is ambitious (4 ED glasses, 2 aspheric ones). The Canon 24mm II has "only" 2 ED elements. It will be interesting to check how the Samyang perform at wide apertures.

Now, Samyang, why not a 50mm f/1.2 or a Tilt shift lens ?
