I know this question has been asked before, but I am unable to find a decent answer.
Does anyone know of a good, cheap rain cover for use with the Lowepro Flipside 300?
I know that the bag itself is stated "water resistant", but any extra layer of protection would help to calm my mind.

Thank you!

I think you might be surprised at the degree of water resistance in the fabric. I have four Lowepro bags (Vertex 200AW, Apex 100AW, old-style Nova 5 and Nova 2). I've never used the rain cover in the first two, have been out in some pretty sustained Scottish wet weather (!), and have never experienced any water penetration. For reassurance, you may want to place your empty bag within range of a lawn sprinkler for 10 minutes and see how it does . . . failing that, any old plastic grocery bag, sliced up one side and placed upside-down over the Flipside :)

Thanks guys,
I guess it is as you say, there is no real need for extra protection.
I did however just come across this, which seems like the perfect alternative, cheap too!

I have this bag, for light showers I wouldnt be at all worried about covering it, the shape of it and the material used, the water beads off it easily...

Downpours... how can you beat the price and convenience of a garbage bag if you get caught out. Stash one in the mesh pocket on the side, I dont trust to put anything more than that in there.

Just get a standard rucksack cover, of course a lot of the other Lowpro options have a built in rain cover.
