U-9 Lightning Girls Soccer - C&C Wanted

Here are a few photos from the girls tournament the same. All shot with the 1dc, Sigma 100-300mm f4. ISO 400. SS varied depending on light.

look pretty good to excellent! (other than 4 and perhaps 10 where backgrounds get more busy)

Your focusing seems spot on.

To give you actual criticism:

First your shots are good. Exposure is on in the first set, a tad bit hot in the second. Focus is good.

I would watch your backgrounds and be more picky. If you crop tighter a lot of the distractions (pop ups, spectators, uninvolved players that are watching, etc.) disappear.

Try to get more foot on ball when they are dribbling and cutting.


But again, great shots, just some tidbits to help you make them extra great next time.

Thank you for the feedback. I appreciate it. Constantly working to improve and improve my technique.

Some of your horizons are off. When I need to put up with poor backgrounds (like porta-potties) if possible I try to use the individual color selections CS5 to mute the background colors and I also use content aware to remove some objects or sometimesjust their shadow if thats' all that shows.

Nice shots. Some of those girls are on my daughters team! Was this at Ft. Dix?
