Both great captures, although they appear soft.
Since you have very good shutter speed, I suspect this might be from resizing for web?
If so, just add a little sharpening to the images after you resize them, like USM 200,0.3,0 (unsharp mask).

It is not from resizing, could it be the lens? just bought it, much softer than my 17-85, and it is a 70-200 f2.8 is!
could be my technique!I will try what you suggest

Should be MUCH sharper than your 17-85. Atleast the 70-200 NON IS sure is.

I have the f/4 version which is definately not as soft as this, but I know the 2.8 IS version is way heavier so maybe you need some practice :P

Nice shots, being a rugby gal myself, its good to see us getting some exposure :D
