Ok - last two shots. First is bounce off ceiling with secondary reflector.

Last shot is direct flash (uch)

I wonder if it makes a difference on if it's whole milk, 2% or skim milk jug?

:D

Nice examples too.

Well, I picked up a 580EX yesterday, so now I gotta make another jugsphere (to borrow a term from goatee :D )

Gimme a few minutes and I'll post photos of them side by side mounted on their respective flashes. :D

lol - we should market and sell these - if we just cover the price of the milk, and p&p, we get free milk for a while!

I worked for a company that used to have exclusive on returnable milk jugs in Ontario- The Becker Milk Company, you Ontario POTN'ers likely remember Becker jug milk and ice cream.

This brings back memories, back in the early eighties, when we switched from Imperial measure refillable heavy plastic jugs to metric 4 litre one time use, we put up an advertising campaign for all the uses for recycled jugs, such as plastic agricultural drain pipe, and other plastic goods.

This was just at the start of the "reduce, recycle, reuse" phase of social awareness, so we wanted to emphasize that even though the jugs were no longer being refilled, they didn't go to land fill.

I am sure our advertising company would have loved the flash diffuser concept!

Somewhere on the net there has to be a picture of Gary Fong's secret LSII plant where he takes milk jugs and converts them into the stylish and always handy LSII...

Aha! He has been buying them up for years, although you would think that would mean he has plenty to ship...........

Important to rinse the jug before flash use, to prevent your photos from having a milky haze..........

This has me thinking.......we still sell milk in jugs, from 4L all the way down to little 1 L containers.

Hmmm, I think the small one might be worth a try, almost the same size as the LSII.
