I woke up to shoot this morning, but it turned out to be overcast and raining.
So... I did not get any light as I had hoped, but just wanted to see what y'all thought of this shot?

I converted it to B&W also, but I cant tell which is better. What do you guys prefer?

I prefer the color as well, but the B&W is still good. Very nice picture. I like the composition.

Color is better for certain but I think the image should have been taken with so much of the foreground water, I think it would have been better with more space above the waterfall. IMO

Great shot! I prefer the color on this one. The B&W does have a cool moody feel though. Nice job.

The sky was blown out if I did that. And I dont HDR my images. Maybe once I get a GND filter.

Love the feel of this. That fog/haze above the waterfall is very nice.

Overcast skies are most times ideal for photographing waterfalls. Some special situations can be good for a waterfall, but most waterfalls don't have good access to attractive light and end up wreaking havoc on the overall exposure of images.

yeah i have noticed that. in this case i was wanting to capture the rays of the sun shining through the scene... but overcast worked just fine for this shot.

Both nice, but I prefer the color. KUDOS.

Have plenty of Canons, enough ammo, enough to blow 'em to "L". Now, I just have to learn to aim.

Great shots David :D
I prefer the color version, but the B&W is also very good.
In case of backlit shots I always take two or sometimes more exposures and blend them manually, that helps a lot to prevent from blown out skies.
I'm also still waiting for my GND, hope it arrives this week
