Now if someone could do this for the iphone/ipad...

No offense, but it is great top have something done for Android first, for a change. :)

The problem seems to me that this does not really reach across the platform yet.

Am I correct in saying only "two" devices can actually use this software?

If that is the case, it is not really an "android" app.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

I have an android htc desire and an iphone 3gs, just so you know my thoughts are balanced.

I would love this to work on the htc desire...

Phones do not generally support USB hosting so unless the phone has it, this will never work. But, ti should work on all tablets running Honeycomb 3.1 and higher, which covers a number of devices.

It's still tethered... which sucks.. but at least you get the laptop out of the equation here, which is nice.

I use DLSRremote with mine, but I have to have my laptop in the mix to do these same things. However, unless I absolutely need all of the features of this, I've been using DSLRbot for things like higher bracketing options (up to 20), time-lapse, etc.. It costs $4.99, works on the iPhone and works really well.

Well, until Canon starts building in some type of connectivity, everything will have to be tethered. I have used it in the field it it is not cumbersome. I just need to find something that will attach my Xoom to my tripod. :)

Well, I was sort of hoping that with wifi chips being built into CF cards - might be a solution to that - but it's not really happening.

Try Velcro, that's what I use. It works and it's non-permanent.

Yeah, it seems if they could do it in a cost effective way, Eye-fi would have been all over that by now. I am not sure how much I would want to risk losing shots over something that has not been put through the paces.

That's a good suggestion, thanks! I can get some of the super strong kind.

Yes, I have it working on my ASUS Transformer - no special cable needed, just the one that comes from the camera. Goes into the Asus dock USB. It works beautifully for the T2i and the 50D. I've also tried the 5D Mark II but had some problems (it's still in Beta).

I am using it with my 5D II and have some app freeze issues, but it has come a long way (I did some beta testing before it went live int he market.) The develop fixes issues very quickly. he wasn't sure the 5D II would work at all until we tried it out on mine.

I used it on a shoot this morning and I was very pleased with it's performance, minus the few freezes. The developer plans on adding more features. I am hoping for extended bracketing and an intravelometer.

Yup, thats what im thinking, 7D to one of the USBs in my keyboard dock...

BTW love the transformer, My favorite tablet out there because of price/capability.... now if they'd just fix the battery indicator problem itd be perfect

+1 on "works as advertised" with Asus Eee TF101 Transformer, with a 7D

I don't think its possible. At least I havn't seen a single example where iphone/ipad is the master for a usb device.
