Night shot of Belfast

Was Down in Carrickfergus tonight at a friends house and stopped on the way home to take a couple of shots!!! Aint really done alot of shots in the dark before!! Exposure time on this 1 was about 15 seconds and ISO was set at 1600 (dont like to go that high) It was pissin wi rain so i didnt want to start experimenting wi iso figures till a dryer night!!!
(Used Neat image as it was very noisy)
Had the Umberella to the left hand side to stop the wind and rain!!!

Taken with standard 18-55 mm lens

I dont know why the shots came out so red!!!! They all did that!! could it be a natural light thing or the street lights behind me??

Also when shooting in the dark........ What setting shud i put WB on??

The idea seems sound. Doesnt look like you had the best conditions gfor the shot though. Have another crack on a nice clear night (if any come again this year) and maybe straighten the horizon. Good effort though.

to b honest Conditions where a bit wick to say the least!!!

The wind was buffeting the camera around (even on the tripod i was using)
So what i did was i dropped the umbrella 90 degrees to the left hand side and shielded the camera that way!!! (meaning i got soaked) :rolleyes:. As for a clear night???????? Some chance of that happening this year!!! LOL but i will try it again next time im down that way and its clear(er)
