A 5D Mark II should fit in there. The Photo Sport 200 AW is designed to fit a pro body, while the Versapack 200 AW wasn't ;).

ok thanks a lot !

i really was looking for a good comfortable bag

it's been more than a month now...

it was easier to find a camera than a bag

i almost wanted to go for the dakine mission photo bag but the way it carries the tripod isn't ideal

i tried the versa 200aw and it has straps underneath

while reading this review, i noticed that the photo sport has them too :D

Great, thank you. It looks like in a few pictures that a tripod can be strapped to the. Side with the feet in in a pocket, I just can't tell for sure. I need a new hiking bag and these look almost perfect.

The side has a pocket for a water bottle and the strap will give it more then enough force to keep it from moving. It also had straps for retractable walking sticks/iceaxe so something could be made with the loops I would think?

I have a 7D with 100mmL macro attached with hood reversed and it's not a problem plus the 24-105 in the extra space. I took a few 4 hours hiking trips and it was a great bag, the poured on us and the AW kept everything dry but my body lol.

I like the idea of this bag, but it doesn't meet my 2 most important criteria:

1. 70-200 mounted with camera removal from top.
2. Waist band that can take all the weight off the shoulders for someone 6 ft tall/long torso.

The only bag I've found under $200 that can meet these is the Clik elite escape. It works, but I wish it was 1 inch taller for the waist band. As is, it is about 22 inches tall.

If anyone knows of something else under $200 that meets these criteria, pls let me know..

Does anyone know if a 7D and a 100-400 will fit, preferably with a second lens? Something like a 15-85?

For other people looking at this bag, a 7D + 100-400 is a no go in any position. A 100-400 unattached is almost a no go.

The camera section of the back is actually not as deep as the bag is wide. There is a gap between the bottom of the camera section/pocket and the other side of the bag which makes sense for having a tripod inside the bag but takes away camera storage space.

You can't fit a long lens in here. 9 1/2" total and that's pushing it. 9" comfortably. Measure your camera from the back to the lens cap and see if you can swing it.

thx for posting that.
but to everyone else.
take the time to read and measure.

the 5d mark ii is 6.0 x 4.5 x 3.0",
3" is the length from lcd screen to mount area for lens
7d is 2.9"

the 100-400 is 7.4" long. obviously it's a no-go.

7.4" + 3" is > 9"

Well, I was saying that the Clik Elite Escape (1st version) does work for that setup. It's worth checking out especially if you're a little under 6' or shorter.

Does anyone know what the dimensions of the water sleeve is? Mainly height/width? I'm wondering if I can fit my small laptop inside there.

Also would the camera compartment fit the following:

5D Mark2, 60D, 24-105, 16-35, 45TSE?

TIA!

I don't think the guys at Lowepro have published those dimensions. You might want to contact Lowepro about that.

I do know it'll fit a 70 oz. (or 2 liter) hydration reservoir :).

Contacted lowepro, but they couldn't tell me :P

Laptop dims: 12.6 x 9.13inch

But if it won't fit that gear, then no good. Ugh. What about one less lens?
