Hi all

I've just finished editing these, so thought I'd pop a few in here.

Once a year, the historic racing club of Zurich get together at the old velodrome in Oerlikon, and do a few demo runs around the circuit. Great to watch as the two ends are banked at 60 degrees.

Anyhow, here is a sample. Full gallery HERE (external link) with 112 pics. Exif intact.
All taken with 7D and 24-70mm, except a few of the bikes when I tried the 100-400mm.

Enjoy, Chris

wow, never heard of that track, but it looks like its in good shape and has steep banks! :O

nice photos. not fancy about the shadow side (but the overcast shots, the last few are great!) but nice selection of vehicles.

THanks guys, appreciated.

Yes, took shots on two different runs, first in bright sunshine, then it went overcast so put a selection up.

In two 20min sessions, I came away with 405 shots, and felt like I had been doing the twist all night going from right to left, then back again for next one coming :-)

Great shots and some beautiful cars. That is some serious banking they have there!

Thanks.

For the other 364 days of the year it sees nothing but pushbike racing, but for this one day of the year, they let the lunatics loose, marvellous :-)
