what is everyone reading?

i have a subscription to popular photography and it seems they focus a lot on nikon stuff, is there a more canon friendly photo magazine out there that is worth reading/subscribing to?

i am limited on local access to photo magazines so i would have to drop the coin on a subscription and i just don't want to waste money on another mag that just doesn't cut the mustard!

thanks for any thoughts or ideas in advance!

Watch this section the forum, folks post deals on most the magazines that are out there. They are typically $3-$4 a year. I have yet to find one that I would pay more than that for, but for a few bucks it is worth even if you only find one or two articles a month worth reading.

Photo Plus is a Canon only magazine. IMO the cost of a magazine sub is insignificant compared to the info contained therein. The magazines content varies, Digital Camera and Digital Photographer focus ( sorry for the pun) on techniques more then brands. Shutterbug does a fairly good job of technical reviews and techniques

Canon 60D,18-55mm,55-250mm,50mm compact macro, AF ext tubes. Sigma 8-16mm uwa, 18-250mm, 85mm F1.4, 150-500mm

i am looking for content and gear reviews, i am not a nikon shooter (considered switching but never made it that far), i know that the brand doesn't mean skill and skill is universal but something just don't transfer from one brand to the next.

i will check out that photo plus and the others you mentioned! thanks for the input!

also curious are majority of the "good" photography magazines based out of europe or are there some good all around content heavy ones from the states? (the europe thing is making me not want to subscribe as first issue will make it to me 12-16 weeks after subscribing).

There are some really good photography magazines out of Britain. When they interest me, I usually just pick up an issue from the local Barnes and Noble.
