Well, I would like to begin seriously setting up my tent/booth at various art and craft shows in my area. I have looked around at the various service providers that help find and decide which shows to attend. A couple of these services/publications are:

Sunshine Artists at:
http://www.sunshineartist.com/ (external link)

Art and Craft Show Yellow Pages at:
http://www.artscraftsshowbusiness.com/Default.aspx (external link)

Art Fair Source Book at:
http://artfairsourcebook.com/ (external link)

Festival Network at:
http://festivalnet.com/ (external link)

So, I'm looking for comments on the quality of any of these services, and how happy any of you may be in providing you with good information to decide which Art/Craft or Juried shows you decide to go to.

Thanks.

I just recently moved to Georgia. I'm really just getting started with the show phase. I have been shooting and collecting images for many years. I'm here because of my job, but find that in many (most?) cases customers at local arts/crafts shows are interested in the "local perspective" in photography. I have some great shots of Europe, Pennsylvania, the Grand Canyon and other Utah canyons, but the fair-goers in Georgia and Florida area are not too interested in those scenes (I am assuming this not based on my own sales experience, but on what booths are set up at fairs in many cities - they all seem to focus on the local scenery).

That is why I am interested in finding the best source of good festival information so I can target any weekend trips to the best potential sales events.

Yeah. Well best of luck to you with your sales at the fairs. I have also noticed that is the case in most instances. Guess its time to focus more on local landscapes to get some more sales :)
