Ive been having some clients volunteer to do some portrait parties. basically it is like a tupperware party. Host chooses location, and brings small refreshments. They bring me 4-8 clients who pay for a small 15 minute session at the party, and they get a free mini 30 minute session. It was a huge success!

Here are some images from that day last weekend:

and a little different editing but I love the old time farm feel of this one:

Interested in this party thing you did. What did you charge the people who came to the party for the 15 minute session, and did they get any prints?

Im not going to discuss pricing since thats a personal preference, and this is a public forum. But I can tell you other details. They get 10 digital files, and can order prints through myself . Since I usually take and edit more than 10, they choose their ten and have the option of purchasing the other digital images per file. $_._ _ per additional image.

its fun and I had a blast doing it.

I was just wondering because this is something I have been thinking of getting into. Can you email some information on how you do this? How you have promoted this.

great shots, as usual! Great concept too - several photographers around here are doing the same thing, except they always have a "tu-tu" theme, lol

I give the option of a theme, and surprisingly this mom didn't want any. Just "family" . I was complaining :)

Thanks for your kind words!

I really like this idea.... I am just getting started and this sounds like a wonderful way to build clientail. I had been thinking about doing something like this on my own.... Me being the hostess and photographer :)
