Excellant timing! Exposures are really good not hazy. Great camera work! Enjoyed seeing all of them.

Just awsome. Once you see this in person, it really is hard to describe how amazing it is to watch. I have been lucky to see it in Alaska.

Trique Daddi, Thanks! It is hard at times to find the right settings, but I am learning more and more with each trip!

Maureen, I know exactly what you mean. Even with a video it's just not the same. Seeing it as it happens really is a remarkable experience!

For those of you who are interested, I went out again on 8/13/11 and had one of the best days I've had to date! There were several Humpbacks feeding in large groups. They put on one heck of a show for us. I didn't take many photos because I really wanted some video and I've already put it up on Youtube.
