I just took my 1.4 extender off my lens after a long time on and I can't seem to find a fitting cap for the front side of the extender. The rear side fits a regular lens cap but the front side does not fit a regular body cap.

A quick bag'n'boxes raid didn't reveal a fitting item.

Can somebody remind me what the cap is supposed to look like?

My imagine composition sucks. I need a heavier lens.

They look the same except the extender cap is roughly 1/8" thicker, went thru the same ordeal not long ago and finally after about 2 hours found it in a bag I don't use any more that was stuffed in a cabinet in my garage....PITA!
Would be simpler to just order a couple and use the extender caps for the body also and trash the regular ones (sigh)

Have to go deeper with my search then. Probably floating around on some body...

Thanks so much!

Yes, it's a pain that they're easily mixed up. I have 'T' scratched ito the TC caps.

I didn't know they were different! - Mind you I don't carry my camera body cap with me as I always have a lens on the camera.

Yeah but with the extender on the 70-200 I'm screwed if I want my f-stop back or need the 70mm. Then the extender has to go into the bag.

It's probably screwed into the rear lens cap that came off of the lens when you attached the TC :)
